Registration

While we are not officially registered, we are planning on registering at Crate & Barrel and Target.  We have an appointment for March 1st to register at Crate & Barrel.  I'm hoping Mike will be up to the task :)

My Wedding Dress

I've found my dress.  I was a little stressed out about finding "the perfect dress."  I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for and I knew I would like most of the dresses I saw.  My mom, Mike's mom, my grandma Frances, Mike's grandma Min and my friend Sara made a trip to Alfred Angelo.

I tried on a poofy princess dress and it was terrible!  Then I tried on others that were more my style (no I am not giving details) :)

Sure enough I found it!!!  Its been ordered and I cannot wait to try it on again at my fitting!

Our Photographer

We've booked our wedding photographer!  Balboa Photography will do our engagement photos and wedding photos.  We are so excited.  Daniel Balboa and his team are absolutely amazing and extremely talented.  I can't wait to take our engagement photos.

The Location & Wedding Date

El Adobe de Capistrano is our wedding location.  El Adobe is a historical Adobe located in San Juan Capistrano, CA.  One of its most popular visitors was former President Richard Nixon and his favorite dish, now known as "The President's Choice" is one of their famous meals.

Michael and I found El Adobe after my work had a holiday party at this location in December 2008.  We both really liked the location and it seemed to have everything we wanted.  We went back with our parents and booked it.  Booking this location finally determined our wedding date.

Saturday, October 10, 2009 is the day!!!

The wedding ceremony and reception will both be held at El Adobe.

visit www.eladobedecapistrano.com for more details on this location.

Our Engagement

I'm beginning this blog a little late.  But here goes...

Mike proposed on October 28, 2008.  We were at a casual dinner at PF Changs in Anaheim.  At the end of dinner the waitress dropped off 2 fortune cookies.  I almost didn't open my fortune cookie because I was so full from dinner.  Mike convinced me to open it and my fortune said "Will you marry me?"  I was in shock and next thing I knew I had a ring on my finger and the managers from PF Changs were taking pictures of us.  :)  Mike got me pretty good.  I didn't have a clue.
